Map

King of Glaciers

On the doorstep of Berjaya Höfn Hotel you can feel the force of nature from Europe's largest glacier - the 8,100 km (5,200 sq. miles) expanse of Vatnajökull, covering 8% of Iceland. There is also the smaller Skálafellsjökull glacier - gear up and climb it, hike it, drive upon it! The nearby Skaftafell National Park is a must-see, as well as Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon, the spectacular setting for the James Bond movie Die Another Day.
