Our story

The hotel was opened in the summer of 2011, with  99 tastefully decorated, bright rooms and inviting facilities.

The hotel garden is our pride and joy and is eminently cozy during winter and summer. With blankets, drinks, and snacks, you can enjoy the midnight sun or the northern lights.

The hotel is a historical, renovated building that formerly housed the University of Akureyri. Our atmosphere is friendly, and we proudly display old pictures of Akureyri.

Fun fact: The guest reception is named "Classroom 14".
