The idea of Alda Hotel Reykjavík is to provide tranquil space in the middle of the city to take in and process the expressions from the adventures experienced in Iceland. We are located on the upper end of Laugavegur (otherwise known as the quiet part), around a 15-minute walk from the center of the city.
We are close to shops, cafés, and restaurants but away from the central nightlife area.

Guest have free access to our Gym and Sauna which are located on the ground floor.

Brass Kitchen & Bar

Brass kitchen & bar is located on the hotel’s ground floor offering tasty food and drinks in a cozy environment.

Barber

Located inside the Alda Hotel you will find three guys with a passion for cutting hair, shaving beards, and partying. They are the two-time winner of Best Barber in Reykjavik so you know that they will give you the best cut on the entire island.

Complimentary phones

Instead of stationary phones in hotel rooms, we offer our guests an Android operated smartphone. All local calls are included as well as the 4G data. You are welcome to take the phone out of the hotel during your stay and use it to your advantages. There are some useful apps on the phone, you can use it to navigate, find restaurants close to your current location or even book day tours.

Gym, hot tub and sauna

Our gym, hot tub and sauna are located on the ground floor. We offer top-of-the-line exercise equipment, including a treadmill, stationary bikes, free weights, and a dry sauna.

As a guest of the Alda Hotel Reykjavik, you enjoy complimentary towels.

The gym, hot tub and sauna are open daily from 06:00 - 22:00.

Parking

Downtown Parking

Unfortunately, we don't have private parking. Public parking spaces are in front of the hotel and in the area.

Parking fees apply during the following hours:

  • Mondays-Fridays: 09 AM - 9 PM
  • Saturdays and Sundays: 10 AM - 9 PM
  • Parging garage: 24 hrs.

Keep an eye out for the parking zones, P1 and P2.
P1 is the most expensive and charges 630 ISK per hour. Its parking spaces are located on the main street, Laugavegur. A maximum of three hours' stay is allowed at P1.
P2 zones you find on side streets out from Laugavegur, charging 230 ISK per hour.
P3 zone costs 230 ISK per hour for the first two hours on weekdays, then drops to 70 ISK per hour after that. Parking is free on weekends.

The parking garage "Stjornuport" is located 200m east of the hotel, at Laugavegur 94. The first hour costs 190 ISK, and the following hours are 130 ISK. It is open from 07 AM to 00:00 daily. Of course, you can keep your car inside overnight. Please note that you pay per hour overnight as well.
